The Fundamentals of Sleep Scoring

Nox Medical is launching its 2022 educational webinar series for sleep technologists, The Fundamentals of Sleep Scoring. Covering topics from general sleep medicine education to the latest technology and its application in scoring sleep, this free program will teach you the basics of the anatomy of sleep, and sleep scoring guidelines.

The 10-part Continuing Sleep Technology Education (CSTE) program will hold live webinar sessions on a core practice related to sleep scoring. Our speaker is Byron Jamerson, Product Specialist at Nox Medical, who has more than 30 years of experience as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.  

You’ll earn 1.0 CSTE credit for each session you attend approved by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).

The digital certificate will be awarded to participants who attend a webinar session with the completion of an online questionnaire at the end of each session. Registration for the webinar series does not constitute an automatic award of the digital certificates.

Meet the Instructor

Byron Jamerson, RPSGT, RST, CCSH, FAAST

Byron has over 30 years of industry experience as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist and Certified Sleep Educator with Certification in Clinical Sleep Health. He is a fellow of The American Association Of Sleep Technologists (FAAST).

Byron worked for many years as a sleep technologist and sleep center director before moving into educational roles with Philips Respironics and the Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine. Byron is a Clinical Application & Product Specialist at Nox Medical and is responsible for training customers on Nox devices and developing educational material used in product training.

This session will cover the basics of EEG anatomy, the basic electrical principles of EEG recordings, and the filters and differential amplifiers in PSG recording.
